Rare Red Fox Agate is a volcanic chalcedony geode from Patagonia, Argentina, featuring a botryoidal vibrant burnt orange, amber-red, deep burgundy, terracotta, and rust interiors contrasted with dark charcoal grey, black, or translucent brown outer rims.
Commonly sold as polished whole geodes, so raw, in polished pieces like this are rare to across. Originally discovered around 1992, active commercial mining has largely ceased, meaning current market supply is limited and drawn from legacy or private stock.
