* Please read. Please note this is a set fossil, the teeth are true fossils, and parts of jaw bone. This has been put together, jaw bone has been “fixed” and then set into a matrix of sand, bone fragments and plaster.
A very cool display piece of part of a Mosasaur jaw, a water living reptile, fossils of these giants where noted properly before much notation of dinosaur fossils.
Megalodon is a prehistoric shark that lived more than 40 million years after Mosasaurus. It’s estimated this shark was around 24.3 metres long, making it at least six metres longer than the upper estimates for Mosasaurus.
Origin • deposits in Khouribga, Morocco.
Late Cretaceous period, approximately 66-72 million years ago.
